One thing I have learned about salad is that lettuce has no flavor so a salad that is majority lettuce is going to require a ton of dressing in order to taste great. Since I am a fan of eating healthy food that actually tastes great, I like to use arugula because it is more flavorful than iceberg lettuce and it lasts longer in the fridge. I chop everything and have equal parts veggies, beans, seeds, etc. as I do lettuce so that every bit taste equally delicious.

Another great tip is to season your salad. I know, that sounds exciting LOL. I like to use Italian seasoning and black pepper. Then I toss with Balsamic Vinegar and Red wine vinegar. All the flavors mix together wonderfully and after you try it, you will never want to order a restaurant salad again.

Enjoy!
