Christina Hendricks Stops Interview After Being Called Full Figured
Article from NY Daily News:
She may be proud of her curves, but Christina Hendricks is tired of talking about them.
Fashion editor Kate Waterhouse found out the hard way when her interview with the red-hot “Mad Men” actress for Sydney’s Sun-Herald recently went awry.
Hendricks, 37, repeatedly refused to answer a question in which Waterhouse referred to her as a “full-figured woman.”
“You have been an inspiration as a full-figured woman. What is the most inspiring story that you can remember where you’ve inspired someone?” Waterhouse asked the actress.
Video from the sit-down shows Hendricks nervously giggling and saying “I don’t know” before she turns away from the camera.
Waterhouse then rephrases her question but continues to call Hendricks “full-figured,” which prompts the actress to interrupt the interview, saying: “I mean, you’ve just said it again.”
Though the chat resumes and the subject is changed, Hendricks reportedly later said off-camera: “I think calling me full-figured is just rude.”
The actress’ refusal to answer Waterhouse’s question may come as a surprise to many since she’s best known for having one of Hollywood’s sexiest figures.

Hendricks, pictured at the Emmy Awards on Sept. 23, is no stranger to showing off her famous curves on the red carpet.
Hendricks, who was voted Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive in 2010, has long been vocal about her voluptuous figure and being admired for her shape.
In a 2010 interview with Health magazine, she said the attention on her body was welcome.
“It’s such a compliment,” Hendricks said at the time. “Because of all those times I had agents who were like, ‘You have to lose some weight,’ and all of a sudden, people are celebrating it. It’s like: ‘Oh, thank you! Thank you for letting me be me.’”
